criteria b: there is evidence from the history, physical examination, or laboratory findings of both (1) and (2): 1. The symptoms in criterion a developed during or soon after  substance intoxication or withdrawal or exposure to a medication. 2. the involved substance/ medication is capable of producing the symptoms in criterion a. {c75} etiological medical conditions include:  neurological conditions (e.g., neoplasms, cerebrovascular disease, huntington's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, auditory or visual nerve injury or impairment, deafness, migraine, central nervous system infections), endocrine conditions (e.g., hyper- and hypothyroidism, hyper- and hypoparathyroidism, hyper- and hypoadrenocorticism), metabolic conditions (e.g., hypoxia, hypercarbia, hypoglycemia), fluid or electrolyte imbalances, hepatic or renal diseases, and autoimmune disorders with central nervous system involvement (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus). etiological substances/medications include: alcohol(i/w); cannabis(i); hallucinogens(i), phencyclidine (and related substances(i); inhalants(i); sedatives, hypnotics, and anxiolytics(i/w); and stimulants (including cocaine)(i); anesthetics and analgesics, anticholinergic agents, anticonvulsants, antihistamines, antihypertensive and cardiovascular medications, antimicrobial medications, antiparkinsonian medications, chemotherapeutic agents (e.g., cyclosporine, procarbazine), corticosteroids, gastrointestinal medications, muscle relaxants, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, other over-the-counter medications (e.g., phenylephrine, pseudoephedrine), antidepressant medication, and disulfiram. Toxins include anticholinesterase, organophosphate insecticides, sarin and other nerve gases, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and volatile substances such as fuel or paint. *must provide value
